Raumfolgen (Space Con/Sequences)
The work series Space Con/Sequences deals with places usually relegated to the margins of perception, for example hospitals or prisons. It is about the canonical perspective of the interior spaces of hospitals, the gaze directed not at any particular processes or people but in an almost mechanical way at the spaces themselves. These, in this way, assume the character of production halls; people appearing in them seem to do so almost by chance. The cold colors give off the sort of eeriness one often notes upon a closer inspection of the spaces of modern architecture. The schism between what is technically possible and what is humanly bearable becomes clearly visible, as does the decision to choose the former.
